Senior Java Developer (AWS)

Java, Amazon Web Services, Scripting Languages, Spring Boot, BitBucket, CI/CD, Identity and Access Management, Spinnaker

Our company is looking for a remote Senior Java Engineer to develop and host highly available microservices using industry-standard cloud-native components and protocols towards establishing secure practices while simplifying end-user experience.

The successful candidate should have a strong background in Java, data structures, and algorithms, as well as maintaining CI/CD using BitBucket and AWS.

  • Develop new features and products for cloud users
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to identify the best ways to deliver high-quality experiences to our customers

Requirements
  • 3+ years of software development experience with strong Java programming skills
  • Proficient experience working on a public cloud like AWS
  • Knowledge of agile software development methodologies (e.g., XP, Scrum)
  • Experience building web applications and REST-based APIs on top of relational or NoSQL databases
  • Experience with building BitBucket and Spinnaker pipelines for CI/CD
  • Strong experience with Spring Boot and scripting skills
  • B2+ English level
Nice to have
  • Experience with resolving customer ad-hoc issues
  • Experience or knowledge of the reactive programming paradigm
  • Experience with a serverless approach using AWS Lambda is a plus
