We are looking for an experienced remote Senior Java Developer to join our remote team, contributing to the development and enhancement of our software applications. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop new functionality, fix defects, and evaluate technology solutions and processes. Responsibilities
- Develop new functionality and enhancements for the applications in scope, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices
- Fix defects for the applications in scope, providing timely and effective solutions
- Identify and evaluate technology solutions and processes, contributing to the ongoing improvement of our software development practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new functionality and features
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement
- Document code and processes, ensuring that knowledge is shared effectively across the team
- Work with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that project timelines and deliverables are met
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Java development, showcasing your expertise in developing high-quality software solutions
- In-depth knowledge of Spring Boot, highlighting your proficiency in building enterprise-level applications
- Proficiency in Angular, enabling you to develop user-friendly and responsive web applications
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, showcasing your ability to deploy and manage applications in the cloud
- Experience with Git, Apache Maven, and PostgreSQL, showcasing your ability to work with common development tools and databases
- Experience with JUnit and other testing frameworks, enabling you to write high-quality and reliable code
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with other programming languages, such as Python or Ruby
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with other cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure
