We are hiring a Senior Infrastructure / Cloud Engineer to help operate and evolve a client platform running on AWS and production Kubernetes. You will focus on Terraform-based IaC, GitHub Actions CI/CD modernization, deployment automation with GitOps, security hardening, Symantec Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) alignment, and Datadog observability improvements. Responsibilities
- Support and improve Kubernetes-based infrastructure that powers production web services and workers
- Design and deliver CI/CD modernization, including GitHub Actions pipeline migration, tuning, and troubleshooting
- Execute tooling and work management transitions, including GitHub and JIRA-related integrations
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform
- Implement better deployment automation and reinforce GitOps or declarative deployment practices
- Operate AWS cloud infrastructure, including RDS PostgreSQL, S3, CloudFront, Redis, and related components
- Strengthen environment security through hardening, access control, and secure configuration changes
- Integrate and support identity and access governance initiatives with enterprise IGA platforms
- Advance monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability practices using tools such as Datadog
- Contribute to agile ceremonies, technical design discussions, implementation planning, and infrastructure reviews
- Create clear documentation for infrastructure changes, operational runbooks, and handoff materials
- Partner with the client's teams to ensure work aligns with security, compliance, and engineering quality standards
Requirements
- Extensive 5+ years of hands-on work in infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or cloud engineering
- Strong command of Kubernetes for production workloads paired with solid AWS cloud experience
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform
- Proven track record with CI/CD, including GitHub Actions pipeline design and migration
- Working knowledge of deployment automation, GitOps, or declarative infrastructure patterns
- Deep understanding of cloud security fundamentals, access control, RBAC, and least-privilege practices
- Ability to run and support production infrastructure, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident analysis
- Exposure to observability platforms, preferably Datadog
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Availability for at least 4 hours of overlap each day with US Eastern working hours
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure
- Experience with identity governance and administration platforms
- Familiarity with AWS RDS PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, S3, and CloudFront or similar cloud services
- Experience supporting repository migrations, CI/CD platform migrations, or work management tool integrations
- Experience working in enterprise security and compliance environments
- Familiarity with ISO 27001-aligned controls, GDPR-related requirements, and audit logging practices
- Experience working with distributed agile engineering teams
