We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure / Cloud Engineer to support a client platform hosted in AWS and running Kubernetes in production. You will tackle technical debt by modernizing GitHub Actions CI/CD, migrating tooling and integrations, applying Terraform IaC, improving Datadog observability, and supporting identity governance with Symantec Identity Governance & Administration (IGA). Responsibilities
- Operate and improve Kubernetes-based infrastructure supporting production web services and workers
- Modernize CI/CD workflows through GitHub Actions pipeline design, migration, optimization, and troubleshooting
- Support repository, tooling, and work management migrations, including GitHub and JIRA-related integrations
- Apply and maintain Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform
- Optimize deployment automation and support GitOps or declarative deployment practices
- Maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and platform services such as RDS PostgreSQL, S3, CloudFront, Redis, and related components
- Implement environment hardening and reinforce secure access control and infrastructure configuration
- Support identity and access governance work, including integration with enterprise IGA platforms
- Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability practices using tools such as Datadog
- Engage in agile ceremonies, technical design discussions, implementation planning, and infrastructure reviews
- Write and maintain documentation for infrastructure changes, operational runbooks, and handoff materials
- Work closely with the client's teams to ensure deliverables meet security, compliance, and engineering quality standards
Requirements
- Relevant 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or cloud engineering roles
- Expert-level experience operating Kubernetes in production and strong AWS cloud knowledge
- Hands-on ability with Infrastructure as Code practices, preferably Terraform
- Strong experience in CI/CD delivery, including GitHub Actions pipeline design, migration, and support
- Practical exposure to deployment automation, GitOps, or declarative deployment approaches
- Solid foundation in cloud security, access control models, RBAC, and least-privilege principles
- Experience handling production infrastructure operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident analysis
- Familiarity with observability solutions, preferably Datadog
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Capacity to overlap at least 4 hours daily with US Eastern working hours
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure
- Experience with identity governance and administration platforms
- Familiarity with AWS RDS PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, S3, and CloudFront or similar cloud services
- Experience supporting repository migrations, CI/CD platform migrations, or work management tool integrations
- Experience working in enterprise security and compliance environments
- Familiarity with ISO 27001-aligned controls, GDPR-related requirements, and audit logging practices
- Experience working with distributed agile engineering teams
