We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure / Cloud Engineer to help keep a client platform reliable while modernizing AWS-based Kubernetes infrastructure. You will improve Terraform IaC, GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, GitOps-style deployments, security hardening, Datadog monitoring, and identity governance integration with Symantec Identity Governance & Administration (IGA). Responsibilities
- Support and optimize Kubernetes-based infrastructure for production web services and workers
- Improve CI/CD modernization by designing and migrating GitHub Actions pipelines, then optimizing and troubleshooting them
- Facilitate repository, tooling, and work management migrations, including GitHub and JIRA-related integrations
- Manage Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform
- Enhance deployment automation and support GitOps or declarative deployment practices
- Administer AWS cloud infrastructure and platform services such as RDS PostgreSQL, S3, CloudFront, Redis, and related components
- Advance environment hardening, access control, and secure infrastructure configuration
- Assist identity and access governance initiatives, including integration with enterprise IGA platforms
- Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability practices using tools such as Datadog
- Contribute to agile ceremonies, technical design discussions, implementation planning, and infrastructure reviews
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure changes, operational runbooks, and handoff materials
- Collaborate with the client's teams to ensure all changes meet security, compliance, and engineering quality standards
Requirements
- Substantial 5+ years of infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or cloud engineering experience
- Strong expertise running Kubernetes in production alongside strong AWS cloud experience
- Hands-on skill with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform
- Demonstrated CI/CD expertise, including GitHub Actions pipeline design and migration efforts
- Experience delivering deployment automation, GitOps, or declarative infrastructure workflows
- Thorough understanding of cloud security, access control, RBAC, and least-privilege principles
- Ability to support production-grade infrastructure through monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident analysis
- Familiarity with observability tooling, preferably Datadog
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Commitment to a minimum of 4 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern working hours
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure
- Experience with identity governance and administration platforms
- Familiarity with AWS RDS PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, S3, and CloudFront or similar cloud services
- Experience supporting repository migrations, CI/CD platform migrations, or work management tool integrations
- Experience working in enterprise security and compliance environments
- Familiarity with ISO 27001-aligned controls, GDPR-related requirements, and audit logging practices
- Experience working with distributed agile engineering teams
