We are looking for Senior/Lead Go Platform Engineers to build the Kubernetes-native platform components — operators, scheduler plugins, and device integration — that enforce topology-aware placement decisions in GKE.
Responsibilities
- Develop a custom Kubernetes Operator for TPU workload orchestration
- Build a custom scheduler plugin integrating the optimization solver's output
- Implement a mock TPU device source for CI/CD testing without physical hardware
- Integrate with Dynamic Resource Allocation (DRA) and Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs)
- Track and de-risk upstream open-source dependency changes (e.g., K8s DRA evolution)
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Golang (primary), plus Python, Rust, or C++
- Deep Kubernetes internals knowledge (operators, controllers, custom schedulers, CRDs)
- Hands-on GCP experience (GKE)
- Experience with container orchestration patterns and API design
- Familiarity with Kubernetes DRA (Dynamic Resource Allocation)
Nice to have
- Contributions to open-source Kubernetes projects
- Experience building mock/simulated hardware device plugins
