We are currently looking for a remote Senior Functional Tester to become a part of the team.
The customer is a British-based stock exchange and financial information company. It helps companies to raise capital and investors build their portfolios across a range of global markets.
Responsibilities
- Work in an agile environment, collaborating with the Development teams to deliver high quality software
- Collaborate closely with the development team to identify the optimal way to cover new functionality with the tests
- Identify and document issues with the software, hardware, and related systems and track them to closure
- Self-manage and perform primary testing tasks without supervision
- Create high-quality test cases and test results reports
- Has advanced level of Software Quality Control process and SDLC
Requirements
- 3+ years of Functional Testing experience
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science/Computer Engineering
- Strong skills in Unix (Solaris/Linux) and shell scripting ( 2+ years of experience)
- Familiarity with Inter-process communication (TCP/IP, UDP/multicast, etc.)
- Experience working with high volume, high throughput, and low latency systems or similar type of low latency platforms
- Experience with scripting language such as Python or Perl is plus
- Experience with software tools such as GIT, JIRA and TestRail
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Perform Smoke, Functional, Performance tests and do Market Data validation using internal tools
- Strong communication skills

- Financial market data knowledge is preferred
