We're looking for a seasoned Senior Ruby Developer to join our remote team.

In this role, you will work on building new capabilities in an existing Ruby on Rails web application for our client, a technology-driven company that offers innovative solutions to various industries.

The project will revolve around delivering consistent and simple solutions that correspond to the existing CSS and JavaScript conventions in the platform while ensuring best practices in web development. If you are an experienced Ruby Developer with a passion for developing performant solutions and enhancing web UI with new user interfaces, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Build out new capabilities in an existing Ruby on Rails web application
  • Write consistent well thought out unit and system tests for all new features
  • Build out features that enhance existing CRUD operations of the existing evaluation data model and framework
  • Deliver consistent simple solutions that correspond to the existing CSS and JavaScript conventions in the platform
  • Enhance the web UI with new user interfaces that make the collection of data intuitive for a wide audience
  • Write performant solutions that prioritize the end customer’s satisfaction while using the web application
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails web development
  • Strong understanding of Ruby frameworks, including Rails and ActiveJob
  • Ability to write consistent well thought out unit and system tests for all new features
  • Experience with other web development languages such as HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • B2+ level of English proficiency, ensuring effective communication within the team
Nice to have
  • Expertise in React-Bootstrap for building responsive and mobile-first web applications
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL
  • Understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies
