We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Python, AWS) to join our team and contribute independently to the development of investment technology platforms, delivering features and improvements with growing technical confidence. This role suits engineers who thrive on consistent, independent delivery while deepening their understanding of system behavior, business context and engineering tradeoffs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver features and bug fixes with minimal supervision, ensuring correctness and reliability
- Contribute to the design and evolution of existing systems and components
- Apply sound engineering judgment in implementation decisions
- Participate actively in code reviews, technical discussions and team planning
- Ensure appropriate testing and operational readiness for your work
- Design and implement microservices architectures, API gateways and inter-service communication
- Manage less senior team members from a technical perspective
- Troubleshoot complex system and application issues
- Collaborate effectively with teams across the globe
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in Python development delivering production software
- Proficiency in backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Django and Flask, including API design and optimization
- Expertise in system design and software architecture, including microservices, API gateways and inter-service communication
- Experience managing less senior team members from a technical perspective
- Strong background in AWS and cloud-based systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and capability to troubleshoot complex system and application issues
- Strong commitment to test automation including robust unit testing
- Experience working in agile teams on complex high-stakes applications
- Collaborative mindset with a commitment to code reviews and peer learning
- Comfortable working with teams across the globe
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
