We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to own a shared React component library used across multiple product pods, shaping component APIs, accessibility, and release governance. You will improve documentation, testing, and publishing workflows while partnering on an AI-assisted component generation pilot. Apply to help raise the quality bar across the portfolio!

Responsibilities
  • Own the full lifecycle of the shared React component library, including new components, API changes, and deprecations
  • Design composable, well-documented component APIs with clear prop contracts and predictable behaviors
  • Ensure all components meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards across semantic HTML, ARIA, keyboard navigation, and focus management
  • Review component implementations for accessibility compliance and block releases that do not meet standards
  • Maintain the Yarn Berry monorepo structure and keep dependencies aligned across packages
  • Operate and improve the package publishing pipeline to a GitLab NPM Registry
  • Resolve outstanding security advisories and restore CI/CD confidence for releases
  • Define and enforce a contribution process for teams across all pods
  • Conduct a version audit to identify misaligned library versions across consuming products
  • Maintain and improve Storybook documentation and Chromatic visual regression workflows
  • Introduce and expand test coverage using Vitest and Playwright for the component library
  • Drive a token sync workflow between design tokens and the repository with design partners
  • Run an AI-assisted component generation pilot and establish a repeatable workflow with clear evaluation criteria
Requirements
  • 3+ years of frontend engineering experience with React and TypeScript
  • Proven ownership experience for shared libraries or design systems used by multiple teams
  • Strong leadership skills to define contribution standards and guide cross-team adoption
  • Solid project management skills to plan audits, deprecations, and breaking-change releases
  • Advanced React component API design skills with clear prop contracts and composability
  • Expert accessibility engineering skills aligned to WCAG 2.1 AA requirements
  • Strong testing skills with modern tooling such as Playwright and Vitest
  • Hands-on monorepo skills using Yarn Berry and structured package management
  • CI/CD pipeline skills for package publishing and versioning workflows
  • Excellent communication skills to document decisions and align stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve security advisories and reduce release risk
  • Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2)
Nice to have
  • Experience with Vite
  • Background in SCSS and Bootstrap 5
  • Experience with Chromatic visual regression tooling
  • Knowledge of GitLab NPM Registry workflows
  • Experience with design token pipelines
