We are seeking a Senior Director of Data Consulting to join our remote team.

This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape data-driven strategies for global clients while influencing the direction of enterprise data solutions. Responsibilities

Oversee the design, development, and deployment of enterprise data platforms and solutions that align with business objectives and long-term vision
Define and architect data frameworks such as data lakes, advanced analytics platforms and reporting solutions using leading cloud providers and modern data technologies
Collaborate with business stakeholders, Solution Architects and technical teams to translate business needs into scalable and future-ready data architectures
Advise clients on data strategy, governance and operating models to create efficient and sustainable data ecosystems aligned with their requirements
Lead consulting engagements and presales activities, demonstrating expertise in data engineering, data management and analytics
Assess existing data environments, pinpoint gaps and recommend improvements for data quality, accessibility and governance
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in data management, AI/ML and cloud solutions, and apply these insights to client projects
Create and deploy accelerators, blueprints and open-source tools to enhance EPAM’s Data Service Offerings
Ensure compliance with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices, maintaining quality-driven code and effective CI/CD processes
Communicate complex technical concepts and strategies effectively to technical and non-technical audiences, enabling stakeholder alignment and informed decisions
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on data technology and strategy

Requirements

15+ years of experience in IT with at least 10 years in a related role such as Data Technology Consultant or Data Architect in enterprise data initiatives
Participation in 10 or more projects or involvement in launching at least 3 products or key product capabilities to market
Proven capability to manage teams of 70 or more FTEs or smaller teams with significant business impact
Expertise in data platforms and cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure and GCP
Hands-on proficiency with data processing frameworks such as Databricks and MS Fabric for large-scale data projects
Competency in SQL and Python for data engineering and analytics tasks
Background in Master Data Management (MDM), data governance and data quality tools to ensure reliable data
Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, including natural language processing and computer vision
Understanding of SDLC, CI/CD and quality-focused software development practices
Knowledge of data architecture, data lifecycle management and enterprise data product design
Experience delivering large-scale data solutions, including data lakes, analytics platforms and reporting systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design and implement innovative data solutions
Proven ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to define and execute effective data strategies
Track record of managing and delivering complex data projects with measurable business outcomes
Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively
Fluency in English at C1 level, with strong written and spoken communication skills
Background in consulting, including stakeholder management, client relationship development and communication of technical topics
Familiarity with industry trends and the ability to conduct market and competitor analysis to inform strategic decisions
