Senior DevOps Engineer with AWS Expertise

We are looking for a remote Senior DevOps Engineer with AWS expertise to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our AWS infrastructure, including Glue crawlers, jobs, Data catalog, Development Endpoints, S3, SQS, SNS, API Gateways, DynamoDB, RDS, EKS, and EMR. You will also be responsible for scripting in Python, Ruby, Perl, or Bash, and understanding basic principles of CI/CD and security, including securing cross-service communication with AAA, TLS, SSO, and AWS IAM. Additionally, you should have excellent troubleshooting skills and a strong ability to effectively and efficiently resolve technical problems.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot ETL jobs by monitoring logs and metrics to ensure system stability and performance
  • Troubleshoot AWS services malfunctions to ensure system availability and reliability
  • Provide resolution for escalated service tickets by working with the team to identify the root cause and implement a solution
  • Troubleshoot user technical issues and provide resolutions for bad user experience, such as login troubles and slow queries
  • React to monitoring system alerts by identifying and resolving issues before they impact the users
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
  • Expertise in AWS services, including Glue, S3, SQS, SNS, API Gateways, DynamoDB, RDS, EKS, and EMR
  • Experience scripting in Python, Ruby, Perl, or Bash
  • Understanding of basic principles of CI/CD and security, including securing cross-service communication with AAA, TLS, SSO, and AWS IAM
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and a strong ability to effectively and efficiently resolve technical problems
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English (B2+ level)

  • Experience with ELK monitoring and logging systems
  • Knowledge of Linux-like operating systems
