Senior DevOps Engineer in AWS

We are looking for a remote Senior DevOps Engineer in AWS to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting ETL jobs and AWS service malfunctions. You will also troubleshoot user technical issues and respond to monitoring system alerts. Our ideal candidate has experience in scripting languages like Python, Ruby, Perl, and Bash and has strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills. You will be working on an AWS project that involves Glue, S3, SQS, SNS, API Gateways, DynamoDB, RDS, EKS, and EMR. You should have a strong understanding of basic CI/CD principles and security protocols. You should also be able to troubleshoot technical problems effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot ETL jobs by watching logs and metrics
  • Troubleshoot user technical issues and bad user experience, such as login troubles and slow queries
  • Respond to monitoring system alerts
  • Troubleshoot AWS service malfunctions
  • Provide resolution for escalated service tickets
  • Escalate issues to the DevOps team
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a DevOps role
  • Expertise in AWS services, including Glue, S3, SQS, SNS, API Gateways, DynamoDB, RDS, EKS, and EMR
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Ruby, Perl, or Bash
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and ELK
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD principles
  • Knowledge of security protocols, including AAA, TLS, SSO, and AWS IAM
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical problems effectively and efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (B2+ level or higher)
