A Senior DevOps Engineer is sought to join our remote SRE team.
The role involves maintaining a CI/CD framework, integrating an observatory stack, supporting applications, aiding product teams with issue resolution, and enhancing product reliability and automation. The successful candidate will be an independent decision-maker who can understand and analyze the interplay between components of a distributed system, utilizing a wide array of skills and tools.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance and enhancement of the LightOps monitoring system
- Management of incident troubleshooting, resolution, documentation, and post-mortem analysis
- Development of knowledge sharing and playbook
- Functioning as a liaison between operations and engineering teams
- Assurance of infrastructure performance and capacity planning
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams for project success
- Engagement with mentor for ongoing learning and skill development
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer role
- Strong proficiency in Google Cloud Platform and its services
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization
- Python proficiency
- Experience in infrastructure performance and capacity planning
- Knowledge of NAT, DNS, and DHCP
- Proficiency in Git and PagerDuty
- Database skills such as MongoDB, Oracle, and PostgreSQL
- Experience with disaster recovery, including backup geo-redundancy and recovery scripting
- English proficiency at upper-intermediate level (B2+)
Nice to have
- GCP certification
- Experience with Grafana and Prometheus for observability and monitoring
- Strong Golang programming skills
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch
