We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and take ownership of a key application security tool: Checkmarx. As a Service Administrator, you will co-own the day-to-day operation, administration, and continuous improvement of the platform, serving as the go-to technical expert for application teams, security teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage central configuration of the platform, ensure smooth operation, and handle upgrades and maintenance activities
- Investigate and resolve issues reported by users, troubleshoot scan execution in CI/CD pipelines, and act on operational incidents, including recovery
- Communicate with Checkmarx vendors on issues, feature requests, and timelines
- Participate in regular vendor meetings and escalate critical issues when needed
- Contribute to the SAP Piper pipeline solution, including bug fixes and development of new features
- Configure and troubleshoot scan integrations
- Suggest improvements related to monitoring, tooling, and features, and evaluate new product capabilities
- Coordinate adoption plans for new platform capabilities
- Validate vendor fixes and patches before production deployment
- Provide feedback that influences product roadmap discussions
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience administering application security platforms such as Checkmarx
- Expertise in CI/CD pipeline troubleshooting and scan integration configuration
- Proficiency in the SAP Piper pipeline solution, including bug fixes and feature development
- Background in vendor management, including issue escalation and coordination on feature requests and timelines
- Skills in platform administration, including configuration management, upgrades, and maintenance activities
- Understanding of operational incident handling and recovery procedures
- Capability to evaluate new product capabilities and coordinate adoption plans across teams
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
