We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior DevOps Engineer to join our expanding technology team.
This critical position focuses on provisioning and maintaining Kubernetes clusters across both on-premises and Azure environments to support our NextGen Microservice platform. The role also involves optimizing CI/CD pipelines and driving automation to enhance application deployment and management efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provision and manage Kubernetes clusters across on-premises and Azure environments
- Implement and oversee CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management workflows with Terraform
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate Microservice applications into the CI/CD pipeline seamlessly
- Develop and maintain scalable, highly available systems to meet performance objectives
- Optimize Linux-based systems for stability, security, and high availability in production use cases
- Monitor and resolve system and application performance issues on cloud and on-premises platforms
- Apply best practices for infrastructure-as-code, GitOps, and resource management in cloud environments
- Ensure effective and reliable deployment processes for applications
- Enhance security and compliance measures, embedding security practices into pipelines and infrastructure configurations
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers within the team
Requirements
- Over 5 years of experience in DevOps or similar roles
- Expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration for both on-premises and Azure platforms
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins, alongside pipeline optimization strategies
- Strong background in Linux administration, covering troubleshooting, security, and performance tuning
- Advanced knowledge of Terraform for automating infrastructure management
- Solid understanding of enterprise cloud platforms, with focus on Microsoft Azure
- Experience working with DevOps practices in Microservice-based architectures
- Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git and related workflows
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Akamai to optimize content delivery and system performance
- Skills in Ansible or equivalent tools for configuration management and automation processes
- Familiarity with Network Administration to improve troubleshooting and network performance
- Background in Python to support scripting and automation tasks
- Capability to apply GitOps principles for improving operational workflows
