Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled remote Senior DevOps Engineer with 3+ years of relevant work experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying and maintaining PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and Redis components to hybrid infrastructure (on-prem and AWS cloud). They will monitor and maintain the health of component-related infrastructure across multiple environments and work closely with the development and platform component streams. Strong English communication skills and the ability to work in client time zone are required.

Responsibilities
  • Deploy and maintain PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and Redis components to hybrid infrastructure (on-prem and AWS cloud)
  • Monitor and maintain the health of component-related infrastructure across multiple environments
  • Evaluate and resolve processing and programming problems
  • Assess component performance and implement improvements
  • Perform component upgrades and improve component monitoring and security
  • Develop deep knowledge of complex production applications and their upstream & downstream dependencies
  • Improve the reliability and scalability of the whole system
  • Work closely with development and platform component streams, actively participating in English language coordination
  • Explore new and latest relevant technology, techniques, frameworks, tools, methodologies, and processes
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call support (~2 shifts per month as primary support engineer)
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in working with Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu, or similar)
  • University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Computer Science, Science, Mathematics, or equivalent
  • Practical experience with database systems (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch)
  • Proven experience with configuration management tools, i.e., Ansible, Puppet, etc.
  • Production experience and understanding of cluster management systems like Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, and ECS
  • Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Terragrunt, etc)
  • B2+ English level
