We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team, working with one of the largest banks in the world. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure and tooling required to support the bank's digital transformation journey. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, reliability, and security of services, while also driving the adoption of best practices and new technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and tooling using best practices and modern technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, reliability, and security of services
- Automate and manage infrastructure and deployments using Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and other relevant tools
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack
- Ensure that services are compliant with relevant regulations and standards
- Drive the adoption of best practices and new technologies to improve service availability, reliability, and security
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Amazon Web Services, demonstrating your expertise in designing and deploying cloud-based infrastructure
- In-depth knowledge of Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and other relevant tools, enabling you to automate and manage infrastructure and deployments
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, to automate repetitive tasks and build custom tools
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), showcasing your ability to manage and scale Kubernetes clusters
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their implementation using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI
- Experience in monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack, enabling you to maintain and improve service availability and performance
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, allowing you to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Strong focus on security and risk management, ensuring that services are compliant with relevant regulations and standards
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience in managing and scaling large-scale Kubernetes clusters
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code principles and tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Experience in managing cloud-based databases such as Amazon RDS or Aurora
- Familiarity with serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda or Azure Functions
- Experience in working with Agile methodologies and DevOps culture
