We are seeking a Senior Database Engineer to own the reliability, performance and security of mission-critical databases across multi-cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure and upgrade MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and CockroachDB databases
- Monitor, tune and optimize database performance
- Manage backups, recovery and disaster recovery plans
- Implement and maintain database security and user access
- Set up replication, clustering and high-availability solutions
- Automate routine DBA tasks through scripting and tools
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues
- Document configurations and procedures
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in advanced database administration across MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Expertise in CockroachDB administration combined with proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell and Python for automation
- Skills in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI combined with IaC tools such as Terraform and Ansible
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools including Prometheus, Grafana and ELK
- Knowledge of cloud database services such as AWS RDS and GCP
- Background in database security, replication and high availability
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
