Currently, we are looking for a remote Senior Database Developer to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the management of database instances. This includes tasks such as user creation, creating and altering table spaces, configuring listeners and creating and managing rollback segments
- Responsible for the daily backup and data export of all database instances including hot backups and cold backups
- Document and execute changes on production and non-production environments, including database configuration changes, database patches, and software updates
- Follow industry Best Practice and guidelines to minimize risks to system availability and security
- Report all potential risks, operational failures, time constraint problems and extraordinary events that will negatively impact to the supervisor
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Professional knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server database administration including user management, installation, DBMS management, troubleshooting, patching, upgrading, and tuning
- Professional knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server database backups, recovery / restores.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL database administration including user management, installation, DBMS management, troubleshooting, patching, upgrading, and tuning
- Knowledge of MongoDB / NoSQL database administration including user management, installation, DBMS management, troubleshooting, patching, upgrading, and tuning
- Experience with cloud database platforms like AWS Aurora, Redshift, SQL Server RDS, PostgreSQL
