We are searching for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Administrator to join our team.

As a Senior Database Administrator, you will focus on managing and optimizing DB2 databases to ensure their performance, availability, and security. You will also contribute significantly to supporting essential business systems and work closely with application development teams to implement new features and solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure acceptable database availability and response times by diagnosing and resolving issues in a high-availability multi-datacenter environment
  • Monitor proactively database performance and identify potential issues to maintain smooth operations
  • Provide effective and timely problem resolution during regular work hours
  • Configure and install business-critical databases based on requirements from application development teams and business users
  • Ensure compliance with audit, security, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide DBA support for complex software installations and upgrades, including major updates
  • Maintain strong commitment to the integrity, security, and privacy of critical business data
  • Support data replication, backup, and availability solutions
Requirements
  • 3+ years of development and administrative experience with DB2 z/OS
  • Knowledge of SQL, including XML, triggers, functions, and stored procedures
  • Background in DDL, DCL, and database utilities or commands
  • Skills in database tools such as Toad, BMC, and db2top
  • Experience with large OLTP databases or data warehouses
  • Proficiency in Unix scripting for database environments
  • Familiarity with CICS or MQ integration
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Nice to have
  • Understanding of database performance tuning in a high-volume environment
  • Background in using OEM for database monitoring and optimization
  • Familiarity with database security protocols and data masking strategies
  • Knowledge of best practices for cross-environment database deployments
