Join our remote team as a Senior Data Software Engineer working on a project that involves Databricks workflows, APIs, analytical development, and data engineering.
In this position, you will be responsible for building and maintaining complex data pipelines, as well as enabling deployment to production. You will also be working on end-to-end production solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement complex data pipelines
- Develop and maintain high-quality code to enable production deployment
- Develop and maintain end-to-end production solutions
- Ensure the quality and integrity of data for analytical purposes
- Troubleshoot and debug data issues as they arise
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality and adherence to standards
- Work closely with Data Scientists and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
- Ensure that solutions are scalable and maintainable over time
- Document development processes, procedures, and standards
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Data Software Engineering or related fields
- Strong experience with Databricks and Microsoft Azure for data engineering and analytics
- Expertise in Python, PySpark, and SQL with knowledge on how to build both within dev and enabling deployment to production
- Proven experience in building robust data pipelines with thoughtful design
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, (or others), and version control
- Experience in developing end-to-end production solutions
- Strong ability to tie loose ends together for solutions across systems
- Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English, at an upper-intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with REST APIs and S3 would be a plus
