We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Software Engineer to join our remote team, working with one of the largest provider of mutual and exchange-traded funds in the world. In this role, you will be responsible for developing microservices and REST APIs for sharing with other risk rule engines, building data pipeline infrastructure, and developing business capabilities on top of this infrastructure. Responsibilities
  • Develop microservices and REST APIs for sharing with other risk rule engines
  • Build data pipeline infrastructure using LET and data warehousing
  • Develop business capabilities on top of the data pipeline infrastructure
  • Create technical, operational, and management level reports and dashboards using Clouds and Monitoring tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and user needs
  • Participate in design reviews, offering input on requirements, product design, and potential challenges
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Software Engineering, demonstrating your proficiency in developing data pipelines and REST APIs
  • Strong experience with Python and AWS services (AWS Glue, Amazon S3, Amazon EMR, AWS Lambda, AWS Simple Notification Service, Amazon Kinesis), enabling you to build high-quality data pipelines and dashboards
  • Experience with Apache Airflow and Databricks, allowing you to schedule business processes effectively
  • Experience with Load, Extract, Transform (LET) and data warehousing, demonstrating your ability to build scalable data pipelines
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher, enabling effective communication
Nice to have
  • Experience with Apache Kafka or other messaging systems
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Understanding of financial services and investment products
