We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Software Engineer to join our dynamic team, where you will play a critical role in maintaining existing data systems, addressing emerging data needs, and driving the growth of our Data Platform as requirements expand.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve current data platforms and systems to align with organizational demands
- Implement emerging requirements stemming from data consumers or updates in platform technologies
- Design innovative solutions to integrate and manage complex, large-scale datasets
- Collaborate with platform teams to incorporate new features or adjust to changes within the Azure DevOps framework
- Plan system scalability by executing strategic performance optimizations
- Contribute to the evolution of the Azure Data Platform, including the onboarding of entirely new datasets
- Engage with senior team members on complex, large-scale data initiatives
- Ensure the reliability and efficiency of Azure-based solutions while aligning with updated data strategies
- Apply DevOps principles to optimize CI/CD workflows and automate infrastructure processes
- Remain informed on technological trends to deliver cutting-edge data solutions
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering or related fields
- Proficiency in Python and PySpark
- Background in Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Azure
- Capability to apply Terraform for infrastructure provisioning within Azure
- Expertise in managing large, complex datasets and producing optimized solutions
- Understanding of cloud-based data architectures and industry standards
- Skills in fostering cross-team collaboration and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders
