We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Software Engineer to design and build robust data pipelines for our cutting-edge data platform. You will play a critical role in transforming raw data into usable states, leveraging your expertise in Python, Apache Airflow, and AWS.

Responsibilities

Develop data software engineering solutions
Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes
Create and maintain Apache Airflow DAGs for data transformation, processing, and orchestration
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile development environment
Ensure design and implementation align with best practices and maintainability
Establish monitoring and debugging capabilities to guarantee pipeline performance and data quality
Write clean, efficient, and testable code to deliver high-quality engineering solutions
Optimize workflows for performance and reliability in a cloud-based infrastructure

Requirements

Proven expertise in designing, debugging, and deploying data-driven software engineering solutions, backed by 3+ years of hands-on experience
Flexibility to use Python for developing data transformation and processing logic
Expertise in Apache Airflow for building and managing ETL/ELT processes
Familiarity with Amazon Web Services
Understanding of scalable and distributed systems in modern cloud environments
Strong background in PostgreSQL, SQL-based data manipulation, and database design
Qualifications in designing systems for monitoring, performance optimization, and fault tolerance
Familiarity with agile methodologies and collaborative development practices
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, at least at a B2 level

Nice to have

Knowledge of OpenSearch for indexing and searching large datasets
