We are seeking a remote Senior Data DevOps Engineer to join our team, working on a cutting-edge project in the healthcare industry.
In this position, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data pipelines, managing data infrastructure, and optimizing data workflows. You will also be responsible for ensuring the reliability and scalability of our data systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data products. Responsibilities
- Design and implement data pipelines, ensuring the reliability and scalability of our data systems
- Manage data infrastructure, including data storage, compute resources, and data processing systems
- Optimize data workflows, ensuring efficient data processing and delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data products, including data models, reports, and dashboards
- Ensure the security and compliance of our data systems, working closely with our security team to implement best practices
- Monitor and troubleshoot data systems, identifying and resolving issues proactively
- Continuously improve our data engineering processes, leveraging automation and DevOps best practices
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Platform Engineering with a focus on DevOps CI/CD activities
- Strong experience in Google Cloud Platform, especially Google Cloud BigQuery, and Google Cloud APIs
- Knowledge of Python
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker, enabling you to deploy and manage containerized applications efficiently
- Strong experience with data modeling and database design, including SQL and NoSQL databases
- Proven experience in managing and scaling large-scale data systems, ensuring high availability and reliability
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about complex data engineering challenges
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher (B2+)
Nice to have
- Experience with other cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Experience with machine learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Experience with data streaming technologies, such as Apache Kafka or Google Cloud Pub/Sub
