We are seeking a talented and driven Senior Data Integration Engineer to join our team.
The role focuses on designing and maintaining technology solutions supporting investment functions, including trade flows, accounting, reconciliation, reporting, and batch scheduling workflows. This position requires collaboration across teams and emphasizes integrating financial data with platforms like Simcorp Dimension to enhance operations and deliver business value.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, Subject Matter Experts, and Development team to analyze and refine user stories using Jira
- Design and implement scalable software solutions for data integration using modern technology
- Engage in data configuration to ensure accurate integration workflows and data consistency across systems
- Present functional solutions during sprint showcases and communicate their business value effectively
- Build CI/CD pipelines using BitBucket/GitHub and Bamboo to enable continuous delivery and improvement
- Develop SQL views, stored procedures, and functions to optimize database processes and data handling
- Enable ETL processes using Python (Pandas/NumPy) while performing unit testing to ensure code reliability
- Prepare data reporting visualizations through tools like Power BI (preferred) or Tableau to provide actionable insights
- Apply Data Warehousing best practices such as Dimensional Modeling and data extraction techniques
- Support financial data integration into platforms like Simcorp Dimension for accurate operations and reporting
- Serve within an Agile scrum team to deliver high-quality software solutions aligned with business objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or comparable professional experience
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
- Expertise in SQL for creating views, stored procedures, and functions
- Proficiency in technologies like AWS (preferred), Python, and ETL frameworks such as Pandas/NumPy
- Experience in developing data pipelines and working with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools like BitBucket/GitHub and Bamboo for efficient deployment
- Familiarity with Data Warehousing principles, including Dimensional Modeling and data extraction techniques
- Background in financial or investment data integration for platforms supporting trading, calculations, and reports
- Understanding of Agile methodologies, including sprint planning and iterative software delivery
Nice to have
- Familiarity with financial systems related to investment accounting or general ledger frameworks
- Expertise in incorporating large-scale investment or ERP systems such as SimCorp Dimension or Investment Management Warehouse
- Proficiency in implementing data solutions via AWS tools like S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda, or with technologies such as Snowflake and Snaplogic
- Background in delivering Agile data solutions, incorporating effective methodologies such as story sizing and collaborative team approaches within scalable frameworks
