Senior Data Integration Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Integration Engineer to join our team in building and maintaining effective technology solutions to support investment functions like trade flows, accounting, reconciliation, reporting, and automated batch scheduling workflows. This role involves deep collaboration with cross-functional teams and focuses on integrating financial data with platforms like Simcorp Dimension to drive operational excellence and business value.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, Subject Matter Experts, and Development team to analyze and refine user stories using Jira
Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable software solutions for data integration leveraging a modern technology stack
Actively engage in data configuration to support integration workflows and ensure accurate data flow across systems
Present functional solutions during sprint showcases and effectively communicate the business value of delivered products
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using BitBucket/GitHub and Bamboo to drive continuous delivery and improvement
Develop SQL views, stored procedures, and functions to support database processes and ensure efficient data handling
Implement ETL solutions using Python (Pandas/NumPy) and perform unit testing to maintain code quality
Create and maintain data reporting visualizations through tools like Power BI (preferred) or Tableau to meet business insight needs
Ensure adherence to Data Warehousing practices, including Dimensional Modeling (Kimball) and Data Extraction Utilities
Facilitate integration of financial data into investment systems like Simcorp Dimension for accurate reporting and operations
Act as an active contributor in an Agile scrum team to deliver iterative high-quality software solutions tailored to business needs

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent professional experience
3+ years of experience as a professional Data Engineer
Expertise in SQL, including programming views, stored procedures, and functions
Proficiency in Cloud platform technologies (AWS preferred), Python (ETL tools like Pandas/NumPy, unit testing), and data pipeline development
Experience with business intelligence tools and reporting solutions like Power BI or Tableau
Qualifications in CI/CD tools such as BitBucket/GitHub and Bamboo for seamless deployment processes
Familiarity with Data Warehousing, Dimensional Modeling (Kimball), and data extraction techniques
Background in investment or financial data integration to support reporting, calculations, and trading platforms
Understanding of Agile software development practices, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and iterative delivery

Nice to have

Experience with financial systems, including investments accounting or general ledger structures
Expertise in integrating large-scale financial investment or ERP systems (e.g., SimCorp Dimension, Investment Management Warehouse, or similar platforms)
Knowledge of delivering data solutions via AWS resources (S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda), Snowflake, Snaplogic, and orchestration tools
Showcase of successful Agile data solution implementations, adhering to methodologies like story sizing and collaborative teamwork within scaled frameworks
