Senior Data Integration Engineer

We are seeking a self-driven and experienced Senior Data Integration Engineer to join our dynamic team, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable data solutions. As a member of the Data Engineering chapter embedded within a high-performing squad, you will play a pivotal role in integrating and managing data to enable critical business processes.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, Subject Matter Experts, and Development team to define, analyze, and refine user stories tracked in Jira
Design, develop, and implement robust software solutions using a modern technology stack to meet LMI Tech's business needs
Represent the Data Engineering chapter during technical discussions and ensure timely delivery of high-quality data solutions
Support and configure data integration pipelines to ensure seamless data flows and address business requirements
Demonstrate solutions and articulate their business value to stakeholders during sprint showcases
Engage in troubleshooting, optimizing, and maintaining existing data solutions to address production issues and improve system performance
Contribute to scalability, reliability, and performance improvements of data pipelines, storage solutions, and models

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent professional experience
3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer working in professional environments
Residence in Ukraine (remote work eligible only for candidates based in Ukraine)
Knowledge of investment financial data to support application integrations with trading platforms and reporting
Background in Agile Scrum frameworks and experience working in scaled Agile teams
Expertise in SQL including programming views, stored procedures, and functions
Expertise in Data Modeling and advanced competency in DWH and Snowflake
Proficiency in Python with ETL tools such as Pandas/NumPy, including Python unit testing
Proficiency in AWS resources and ecosystem, particularly with integration tasks
Skills in CI/CD processes using tools like Bitbucket/GitHub and Bamboo, including pipeline development and maintenance
Familiarity with business intelligence tools and reporting solutions
Capability to demonstrate a proactive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering value through iterative development
English language proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

Nice to have

Understanding of financial systems, general ledger accounting, or investment reporting
Showcase of experience with financial systems in investment accounting or general ledger systems
Background in integrating large-scale financial investment/ERP systems like Investment Management Warehouse or similar
Demonstrated expertise delivering data solutions using AWS resources (S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda), Snowflake, SnapLogic, and orchestration tools
Familiarity with Agile software development practices including sprint planning, story sizing, and retrospectives
