Responsibilities
- Interpret business needs and turn them into BI designs and analytics-ready data models
- Develop and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and semantic models
- Build production-grade Databricks pipelines using Python, PySpark, and SQL
- Implement Medallion Architecture and other lakehouse patterns across layers
- Execute releases with Git, Power BI Deployment Pipelines, and CI/CD practices
- Apply governance and access controls using RLS, RBAC, and Unity Catalog
- Diagnose reporting and data issues, improve performance, and enhance data quality
Requirements
- Professional experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service end to end
- Strong DAX capability for troubleshooting plus performance tuning
- Solid Power Query (M) skills for transforming and shaping data
- Expert-level SQL proficiency for complex querying, transformation, and analytical modeling
- Hands-on Python experience to build maintainable data solutions
- Practical PySpark capability to develop scalable Databricks transformations
- Proven Databricks experience delivering lakehouse pipelines and production workloads
- Working knowledge of Git for version control with structured release practices
Nice to have
- Ability to use Databricks Asset Bundles with YAML-based workflow configuration
- Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tooling for validation and deployment
- Understanding of Azure Data Lake Storage and secrets management approaches
