Responsibilities
- Translate business questions into BI designs and analytics-ready data models
- Design and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, datasets, and semantic models
- Develop production pipelines in Databricks using Python, PySpark, and SQL
- Implement Medallion Architecture lakehouse patterns across layers
- Lead release management using Git, Power BI Deployment Pipelines, and CI/CD practices
- Implement access controls with RLS, RBAC, and Unity Catalog governance
- Investigate data and reporting issues, tune performance, and improve data quality
Requirements
- Extensive Power BI experience using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- Strong DAX expertise, including troubleshooting and performance tuning
- Hands-on ability with Power Query (M) for data shaping and transformation
- High SQL proficiency for complex queries, transformations, and analytical modeling
- Proven hands-on Python experience for maintainable data solution development
- Solid PySpark capability to build scalable transformations in Databricks
- Demonstrated Databricks experience delivering lakehouse pipelines and production workloads
- Experience with Git-based version control and structured release/deployment practices
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Databricks Asset Bundles and YAML-based workflow configuration
- Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tooling for validation and deployment
- Familiarity with Azure Data Lake Storage and secrets management approaches
