We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to modernize data platforms and lead cloud migration initiatives using Databricks and Microsoft Azure. You will partner with technical and business teams to build scalable, governed data solutions and help clients move to a Lakehouse architecture—apply now.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable data pipelines for batch and streaming workloads
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes following data engineering best practices
- Lead data migration workstreams from on-premises to cloud and platform modernization
- Develop and optimize Databricks solutions on Azure for performance and reliability
- Partner with business and technical teams to gather requirements and align deliverables
- Implement data quality, governance, and security controls across the platform
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance and cost for deployed solutions
- Document architectures, technical processes, and migration strategies
- Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for pipeline and platform issues
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with data migration projects
- Consulting experience working with clients and translating needs into technical solutions
- Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and business teams
- Strong project delivery skills for cloud modernization and migration initiatives
- Hands-on Databricks experience for development and optimization
- Microsoft Azure experience with ADF, ADLS, Synapse, and Azure SQL
- Strong SQL skills and data modeling knowledge
- Python or Scala programming skills for data engineering workloads
- Delta Lake knowledge and Lakehouse architecture understanding
- Data governance, security, and quality practices in cloud environments
- Analytical mindset and structured problem-solving skills
- Clear communication and teamwork skills in cross-functional settings
- English proficiency: B2 Upper-Intermediate

- Databricks certification
- CI/CD experience for data pipelines
- Terraform or ARM experience for infrastructure automation
- Apache Spark performance tuning expertise
- Unity Catalog experience for data governance
