We are seeking a remote Senior Data DevOps Engineer to join our remote team of experts, working on a project that involves data pipeline, big data components, and cloud computing platforms.
As a Senior Data DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining the infrastructure for data processing and management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our data systems. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code for data processing and management
- Deploy, operate, monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot large-scale big data infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our data systems
- Automate data processing and management workflows using Bash, Python, and other scripting languages
- Design and implement data storage and retrieval solutions, including Hadoop, Hive, and Elasticsearch
- Implement and maintain data pipeline solutions, including Kafka, Streamsets, and Airflow
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data DevOps, with a focus on infrastructure development and maintenance
- Expertise in Bash, Python, and Unix, with hands-on experience in developing and maintaining infrastructure as code
- Proficiency in cloud operations, including experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience in deploying, operating, monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting large-scale big data infrastructure
- Proficiency in Terraform and Kubernetes, with a strong understanding of containerization and orchestration
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with machine learning and AI technologies
- Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Experience with database technologies, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
