We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our remote team, contributing to the development and enhancement of our data analytics capabilities. As a Senior BI Analyst, you will play a vital role in bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, working closely with stakeholders to translate their needs into technical specifications. You will also be responsible for designing and implementing BI solutions, analyzing data, and providing insights that drive business decisions. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, and translate them into technical specifications and solutions
- Design and implement BI solutions, including data models, data flows, data dictionaries, and data mappings
- Analyze data to provide insights that drive business decisions, and create operational and dashboard reports
- Contribute to product development and system enhancements, providing technical expertise and guidance
- Manage your own set of deliverables, working independently and as part of a team
- Participate in project phases, including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment
- Ensure the quality of deliverables by following SDLC phases and best practices
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in BI analysis, demonstrating expertise in analytics and reporting tools, including Cognos BI
- In-depth knowledge of ETL/ELT solutions, databases, and Oracle RDBMS, enabling you to design and implement robust data solutions
- Experience with cloud-based BI solutions, such as AWS or Azure, showcasing your ability to leverage cloud technologies to enhance data analytics capabilities
- Strong data analysis skills, including data treatments, volume analysis, and performance tuning, allowing you to provide valuable insights to stakeholders
- Experience in implementing reconciliation, verification, and validation processes, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
- Excellent technical documentation skills, showcasing your ability to produce technical specifications and solution designs
- Experience in project management and collaboration, including working with developers, QA teams, and support teams
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Awareness of SQL development, system configuration, Informatica PowerCenter, and batch processes
- Familiarity with web services, cloud technologies, and open-source software
