We are looking for an experienced remote Senior Cloud Support Specialist to provide top-notch enterprise-level support to customers of a major cloud service provider. As a cloud support specialist, you will work with a team of skilled support engineers to deliver outstanding customer support for cloud platforms and big data products. You will be responsible for contacting customers to troubleshoot and resolve concerns, participating in discussions with product engineers for improvements, and categorizing support requests for analytics.
Responsibilities
- Resolve customer inquiries, troubleshoot, provide updates, identify root causes, and resolve issues to customer satisfaction
- Lead case escalations from customers to resolution
- Co-operate with engineers across technical and product domains to resolve complex cross-domain issues and consult with SMEs to accelerate problem resolution
- Handoff or take over cases to/from other geographical regions to provide around-the-clock issue resolution for premium customers
- Produce support documents and perform knowledge sharing and training to keep technical skills up to date with the latest cloud technologies
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Application Support
- Familiarity with networking (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, related troubleshooting tools)
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform
- Proficient in Linux/Unix (usage of lsof & Netstat to check open ports & running processes)
- Basic level knowledge of SQL, Python (or any other language)
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (verbal & written)
