Our team is currently looking for a remote Senior Cloud Platform Developer to oversee the cloud infrastructure management for our client's projects. As part of your role as a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will design and implement intricate systems in public and hybrid cloud environments, automate infrastructure and configuration management, and resolve intricate issues across multiple interdependent systems. The project you'll be working on requires expert AWS skills to configure, operate, and automate cloud IaaS infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement intricate systems in public and hybrid cloud environments, focusing on automating infrastructure and configuration management
- Manage the configuration, operation, and automation of cloud IaaS infrastructure using AWS
- Resolve complex troubles spanning multiple interdependent systems
- Cooperate with stakeholders from various backgrounds to devise solutions to problems
- Identify prospects for improving policies/processes to boost efficiency across the organization
- Ensure all components (structure, people, process, and technology) are identified and accounted for during issue analysis
- Perform a thorough analysis of data, identify patterns, and pinpoint root issues when gathering information about a problem
- Offer technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers
Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 3 years of experience maintaining and enhancing a project in a production environment in public/hybrid cloud infrastructure
- Thorough knowledge in automating infrastructure and configuration management
- Proficiency in configuring, operating, and automating cloud IaaS infrastructure using AWS
- Solid understanding of backup management, storage systems, and virtualization configuration and maintenance
- Expertise in at least one area of infrastructure
- Capability to diagnose intricate infrastructure problems and troubleshoot them across multiple interdependent systems
- Experience in identifying and providing solutions to business problems at the project level
- Excellent proficiency in English language (B2+ level)
Nice to have
- Knowledge of GCP and Microsoft Azure
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
- Experience with Ansible for configuration management
- Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestratio
