We are looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Developer to join our remote team.
As a Senior Cloud Platform Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will utilize Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles to create robust and scalable systems. Your expertise in cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automation will contribute to the seamless deployment of cloud-specific solutions using GitHub Actions. Working closely with the client's development team, you will introduce new features and continuously improve existing systems.
Responsibilities
- Architect and design scalable and secure cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical expertise during the development process
- Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for continuous integration and deployment of applications on GCP
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud services, networking, and deployments
- Implement Anthos Service Mesh / Istio for managing microservices communication and traffic flow
- Create and manage Helm charts to streamline the deployment of applications on Kubernetes clusters
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven work experience as a Cloud Platform Developer or in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge and proficiency in Shell scripting
- Experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation
- Working knowledge of GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine)
- Proficiency in Terraform for IaC implementation
- Familiarity with Anthos Service Mesh / Istio for microservices architecture
- Strong understanding of Networking concepts and firewall rules in cloud environments
- Experience with Helm charts for Kubernetes applications
- Familiarity with GCP Monitoring and Logging tools for efficient system management
- B2+ English language proficiency for effective communication with the team and clients
