We are on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Developer well-versed in Java and AWS to become a valuable member of our remote team.
As a Product Engineer, your role encompasses the enhancement and refinement of our product, demonstrating a sense of ownership and a proactive approach to troubleshooting. Our team places a strong emphasis on quality, consistently delivering top-notch products that not only meet but surpass customer expectations. Your mastery of Java, and AWS, and proficiency in Data Structures and Algorithms will be pivotal in fulfilling the demands of this position.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the enhancement of our product's quality
- Work collaboratively with the team to implement novel features and functionalities
- Uphold and enhance the existing codebase
- Engage in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices
- Design and deploy a scalable microservices infrastructure
- Develop and sustain APIs and establish integrations with other services
- Ensure seamless continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD)
- Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
- Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend and define project requirements
- Proactively pinpoint and resolve technical challenges
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience in Java development
- Exhibit in-depth knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms, Clean Code, and System Design
- Showcase proficiency in AWS, encompassing Amazon EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda
- Familiarity with Kotlin, Scala, or Go Language
- Practical experience with SQL and NoSQL tools
- Expertise in APIs and Integration
- A solid understanding of Microservices and Spring
- Prior involvement in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Possess excellent English communication skills (Upper-Intermediate level)
- Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the capability to take ownership of tasks
Nice to have
- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQ or Kafka
