We are searching for a Senior Cloud Engineering Manager to lead complex, multi-stream projects and large teams, often with more than 50 FTE.
In this position, you will hold primary accountability for delivery outcomes, fostering client relationships, and advancing organizational growth. The role encompasses strategic consulting, crafting business cases, designing technology roadmaps, and contributing to global practice advancements. The role also involves supporting pre-sales activities across multiple accounts, shaping proposals, overseeing RFI and RFP processes, and advising on extensive client transformation initiatives.
You will implement new technologies and accelerators, nurture leadership potential in team members, and establish frameworks for succession planning and sustainable growth. This role requires in-depth financial acumen, industry awareness, executive-level communication skills, and proven experience in strategic planning, budget management, and solving highly complex problems.
- Drive the management of complex, multi-stream projects and large teams (50+ FTE)
- Assume responsibility for delivery results and client relationships
- Lead strategic consulting, business case craftsmanship, and the development of technology roadmaps
- Contribute to global practice improvement and discipline enhancement
- Manage pre-sale engagements, including proposal design, review, audit readiness, and RFI/RFP processes
- Mentor aspiring leaders, enhance team knowledge sharing, and engage in professional forums
- Advise on large-scale client transformation efforts
- Introduce innovative technologies and accelerators to promote progress
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, development, performance evaluation, and retention
- Ensure timely project delivery while resolving challenges and dependencies
- Navigate executive-level client discussions and presentations
- Utilize advanced analytical methods to solve intricate challenges and manage substantial budgets
- 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in managerial roles
- Advanced expertise in at least one major cloud provider (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform); multi-cloud experience preferred
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code platforms (Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD systems, and containerization/orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of observability tools and familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering and Platform Engineering methodologies
- Strong knowledge of system architecture, with an application of Well-Architected Framework principles
- Advanced understanding of cloud security protocols, identity and access management, compliance, and data protection
- Proven background managing teams exceeding 50 FTEs, including full lifecycle management of personnel
- Showcase of experience in pre-sales activity, including preparing estimates, conducting presentations, and documentation
- Strong background in delivery management and coordination of projects
- Financial competency and understanding of diverse engagement models (time-and-materials, fixed price)
- Proficiency in English at a B2 level or above
- Background in system design and conducting cloud maturity evaluations
- Expertise in consulting and performing business case analysis
- Competency in aligning with market trends and conducting domain-specific consulting
- Showcase of mentorship skills, contributing to shared knowledge platforms
- Familiarity with Generative AI and applications of prompt engineering
- Understanding of research, development efforts, and accelerator design
