We are looking for a remote Senior Cloud Engineer in AWS with extensive experience in Cloud Engineering & Cloud software development to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the deployment and ongoing development of Cloud Tools across all CSPs. Your expertise in AWS and experience with CloudCustodian, GitLab & CICD workflows, CloudHealth, HashiCorp Vault, Terraform, and Python will be instrumental in creating processes and support plans for Cloud Tools to allow handover of tooling to SRE teams. You will work in and alongside the CSP teams, particularly AWS team in order to support their use and deployment of specified tooling. You will translate business requirements into technical requirements and tooling configuration by sourcing data and undertaking appropriate analyses. You will make technical design and amendment decisions with limited supervision, ensuring relevant reporting documentation is completed and complies with internal and external standards. You will schedule and coordinate capacity/product upgrades & releases, liaising with other areas of the business, manage upgrades and coordinate internal and third parties where required, create accurate documentation, and monitor system performance to effectively contribute to business and continual improvement activities. You will support in deploying tooling across development teams.
- Assist with the deployment and ongoing development of Cloud Tools across all CSPs
- Create processes and support plans for Cloud Tools to allow handover of tooling to SRE teams
- Work in and alongside the CSP teams, particularly AWS team in order to support their use and deployment of specified tooling
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements and tooling configuration by sourcing data and undertaking appropriate analyses

- Ensure relevant reporting documentation is completed and complies with internal and external standards
- Schedule and coordinate capacity/product upgrades & releases, liaising with other areas of the business
- Manage upgrades and coordinate internal and third parties where required
- Create accurate documentation and monitor system performance to effectively contribute to business and continual improvement activities
- Support in deploying tooling across development teams
- 3+ years of engineering experience with AWS, preferably as a platform engineer or cloud developer
- Some previous experience of development using ideally Python, GoLang, or NodeJS
- Experience in Cloud Engineering and automation at scale
- Experience of working in an Agile environment
- Knowledge of RBAC, Cloud IAM
- Working knowledge of Terraform
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (B2+ level)
