We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team. This role requires deep experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), strong Linux systems administration capabilities, advanced automation skills using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and the ability to design, implement, troubleshoot, and operate scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy cloud infrastructure that supports scalable, secure, and resilient business applications
- Build and maintain automation solutions to streamline provisioning and reduce manual operational effort
- Monitor system health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact users
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure solutions with broader business and technical goals
- Support incident response efforts, including diagnosis, resolution, and follow-up analysis
- Contribute to the definition and enforcement of governance standards across cloud environments
- Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning to ensure systems scale effectively
- Document infrastructure designs, processes, and operational procedures to support team-wide knowledge sharing
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including advanced knowledge of provisioning, automation, and infrastructure management
- Mastery of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform, along with experience building reusable automation solutions
- Strong proficiency in cloud monitoring, incident resolution, and performance optimization techniques
- In-depth understanding of governance processes, such as access controls, tagging frameworks, compliance, and backup/recovery strategies
- Experience with containerized environments, such as GKE and Docker, along with patch management practices
- Solid Linux systems administration skills, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting to support reliable infrastructure operations
- Strong system analysis skills, with the ability to evaluate infrastructure performance and identify areas for improvement or risk mitigation
- Excellent leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor junior team members and lead cross-team communication
- Familiarity with cost optimization principles for cloud environments, including analyzing and responding to utilization trends
- Excellent English communication skills (B2 level or higher)
Nice to have
- Experience with Dagster for orchestrating and managing data pipelines
- Familiarity with Kubernetes for deploying and managing containerized applications
- Proficiency with Pandas for data manipulation and analysis
- Experience with ReactJS for building front-end interfaces that integrate with backend services
- Familiarity with TypeScript for developing type-safe front-end or full-stack applications
- Experience with dbt for transforming and modeling data within analytics workflows
- Finance domain expertise, ideally within Payments or Treasury, to bring relevant business context to technical solutions
