Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS) to join our team. In this strategic role, you will be integral in architecting, deploying, and managing our cloud-based infrastructure on the AWS platform. This position offers the chance to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies and collaborate with a team of experts to drive innovation and improve efficiency across our operations.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS
- Manage full AWS lifecycle, provisioning, automation, and security
- Configure and fine-tune cloud infrastructure systems
- Perform software upgrades and patch installs
- Create scripts for automating client/server functions
- Monitor cloud environments using AWS CloudWatch and other tools
- Manage disaster recovery and create data backups
- Train team members on new cloud technologies or processes
- Evaluate new technology options and vendor products
- Ensure critical system security using best in class cloud security solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer with a strong focus on AWS
- Proficient in managing AWS services including IAM, S3, Lambda, and EKS (Kubernetes)
- Experienced with version control systems such as Git, GitHub, and GitLab, along with CI/CD pipeline integration
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Grafana and Prometheus
- Skilled in Kubernetes for orchestrating containers
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation tasks
- Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation for automation
- Fluent in English with a B2 level proficiency or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with Apache Kafka for handling real-time data feeds
- Familiarity with Cortex for enhancing observability
- Knowledge of Datadog for monitoring and security
- Experience with Elasticsearch for search and analytics capabilities
