We are currently seeking a Senior Cheminformatics Engineer with strong Python experience to join our team. At EPAM, you'll have the opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and science, contributing to cutting-edge solutions in the life sciences domain.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, research, and develop product features with advanced cheminformatics capabilities
- Integrate and adapt existing cheminformatics algorithms for use specified by the client
- Develop and maintain databases for chemical data storage and retrieval
- Ensure that the code and components comply with internal quality standards
Requirements
- Degree in chemistry, biochemistry or a similar field
- Strong knowledge of cheminformatics and molecular modeling
- 4+ years of experience in Python programming
- Knowledge of RDKit or a similar library
- Desire to grow as an IT specialist in Life Sciences and Cheminformatics
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
Nice to have
- Skills in NumPy, Pandas, and JupyterLab, along with experience in Git
- Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with machine learning applications for chemistry and GenAI
- Critical thinking skills, experience in wet-lab research and conducting experiments
