This platform leverages advanced hardware, network solutions, and state-of-the-art software technologies, including direct network card access for bypassing the TCP/IP stack, explicit mapping of critical threads to physical processors for optimal performance, and the latest C++ (C++17/20) language features for pushing the limits of innovation. This position involves developing new Algo models, enhancing the Algo framework, improving market data distribution, and building ultra-low latency exchange connectors as part of a collaborative global IT and business team.
Please note that working from the customer's office in Lisbon or Porto 2 days per week is required.
- Develop eTrading platform modules, components, and utilities
- Manage platform activities, including development, support, CI/CD, and bug resolution
- Coordinate tasks with global engineering, business, and support teams
- Drive innovation in greenfield projects
- 3+ years of experience in software development
- Proficiency in modern C++ (any of 11/14/17/20), STL, and Boost
- Understanding of design and architecture principles, with competency in common data structures and algorithms
- Familiarity with Linux environments, including Linux development tools such as cmake, gcc, and gdb
- Good written and spoken English
- Familiarity with Unix scripts, bash, or Python
- Knowledge of FIX protocol or other financial technology protocols
