We are seeking a Senior C++ Backend Services Engineer to design, build, and operate reliable backend services that support player-facing experiences in a live, high-traffic environment. You will shape scalable APIs, secure data handling, and operational excellence while partnering with client teams to deliver responsive UI/UX.
Responsibilities
- Design backend services and APIs consumed by client UI for data retrieval, state changes, and configuration
- Build scalable data models and storage strategies including caching, pagination, rate limits, and idempotency
- Own service reliability through monitoring, alerting, incident response, and performance tuning
- Ensure secure authentication and authorization and protect sensitive user data
- Collaborate with client engineers to define latency-aware API contracts and resilient user flows
- Implement automated tests and maintain high code quality through reviews and standards
- Contribute to CI/CD and deployment practices to support safe and repeatable releases
- Operate services in a live environment and drive stability and cost improvements
Requirements
- Senior-level backend engineering experience (3+ years) building production services for consumer-facing products at scale
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional engineering teams to define API contracts and resilient user flows
- Proven ownership mindset for service reliability, incident response, and continuous improvement
- C++ proficiency and solid software engineering fundamentals
- API design expertise with REST and/or gRPC, including versioning and backward compatibility
- Strong SQL fundamentals (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and caching experience (Redis)
- Cloud and operations fundamentals with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and observability (logs, metrics, tracing)
- Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2)

- Go Core backend development experience
- Python backend development experience
- Unreal Engine integration experience for client-service interactions
