We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to work closely with the Technical Program Manager and support the execution of engineering projects. You will act as a bridge between the business and engineering teams, filling the gap left by the lack of business analysts. You will assist with project coordination while leveraging business analysis skills to ensure clarity of requirements, concise acceptance criteria, effective communication, and timely delivery of project outcomes.
The ideal candidate is highly adaptable, proactive, and skilled at managing ambiguity in fast-changing environments.
Responsibilities
- Support the Technical Project Manager in planning, tracking, and delivering engineering projects
- Monitor progress across engineering, business analysts and testing teams, ensuring dependencies are managed effectively
- Assist in preparing project status updates, risk logs, and reporting to stakeholders
- Gather and document requirements from business stakeholders
- Analyze business needs and translate them into actionable technical requirements for the engineering team or UX team
- Write user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflows to clarify project goals
- Support the engineering manager's vision of transitioning to monthly iterative releases and quarterly high-value product increments with weekly or bi-weekly demos
- Facilitate communication between business and engineering teams to align on priorities and expectations
- Work proactively to address unclear or incomplete requirements before they block engineering progress
- Identify and flag risks associated with incomplete requirements, dependencies, or shifting priorities
- Validate requirements by collaborating with stakeholders and resolving ambiguities
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a hybrid role combining business analysis and project coordination
- Background in Agile-like and traditional waterfall projects, with the ability to thrive in a hybrid waterfall/iterative environment with shifting priorities
- Experience tracking deliverables and coordinating across multiple teams
- Familiarity with project management tools (Jira, Aha!) and desire to learn others
- Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills, including creating user stories and acceptance criteria
- Expertise in process mapping, workflow analysis, and identifying gaps in requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with business and engineering teams
- Capability to think critically and solve problems proactively, especially in situations where information is incomplete or unclear
- Willingness to take ownership of tasks and resolve gaps in the absence of clear guidance
- A team player who can build trust across diverse teams and ensure accuracy in requirements documentation and progress tracking
- English proficiency at a B2 level to ensure effective communication and documentation
Nice to have
- Certification in project management (e.g., CAPM, PMP, or Agile certifications)
- Experience executing Agile transformation for an organization
