Senior Business Analyst

Remote in Greece: Attica, Athens

We are seeking a motivated Senior Business Analyst to join our team and support the delivery of a Risk & Trading transformation initiative in the Gas & Oil sector.

This role is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in business analysis and Agile practices, and a desire to partner with technical and business teams to deliver value-driven solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior analysts and stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document business requirements
  • Capture requirements for P&L setup, inventory, pricing, risk positions, and reporting
  • Document processes and system interactions with an emphasis on price interfaces, inventory balances, trades, positions, and MtM reporting
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Manage product backlogs, refine user stories, and define acceptance criteria
  • Identify and monitor potential risks under the direction of specialists to contribute to risk management efforts
  • Drive process improvement initiatives while working with domain experts to gain understanding of industry practices
  • Ensure deliverables align with business goals, quality standards, and compliance regulations
Requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a Business Analyst role or a similar position within Agile delivery environments
  • Knowledge of business analysis techniques including requirements gathering, process mapping, and user story creation
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe
  • Understanding of trading concepts such as positions, exposure, MtM, and risk reporting, with the flexibility to learn quickly
  • Exposure to financial, energy, or commodity trading systems
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a background in working across technical and business teams
  • Proficiency in English (B2 or higher); Greek language skills are a plus
Nice to have
  • Background in Crude Oil Transportation and Trading
  • Knowledge of Risk Management practices relevant to the energy sector
