We are seeking a talented Senior Big Data Developer to join our remote team, working with our global client. As a Senior Big Data Developer, you will be responsible for ETL development on AWS Big Data Platform, collaborating with a highly distributed and diversified project team. You will use your expertise in Scala, Spark, and SQL to ensure the quality and reliability of our big data solutions. Responsibilities
- Develop ETL on AWS platform from RDBMS and HTTPs APIs
- Conduct code reviews and fix bugs
- Prepare solution deployments from the development side and create documentation from scratch
- Interact daily with a highly distributed and diversified project team across CIS, EU, USA, India, and several vendors involved in the project
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and reliability of big data solutions
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Big Data developer with a strong background in Scala, Spark, and SQL
- Experience in ETL scripts, GitLab, Apache Airflow, and Databricks
- Familiarity with SnowFlake is a plus
- Understanding of data structures and distributed systems, with experience working with Jenkins and Git
- Ability to work under little supervision in a distributed team
- Fluent spoken and written English at a B2 level or higher
- Experience in data warehousing, data integration, and data quality verification
- Familiarity with database design and implementation
- Good communication skills
