We are seeking a remote Senior Big Data Developer with Databricks expertise to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, along with experience in the software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement big data solutions
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using Databricks, Scala, and AWS services
- Optimize and tune performance of data solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve data processing issues
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of information systems, business processes, and key drivers while choosing the proper methodologies and policies to support broad business goals
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor's/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
- Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, Test-driven development
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, advanced SQL is required
- Experience with Big Data platforms such as Apache Hadoop and Apache Spark, Databricks
- Experience in developing and implementing solutions utilizing Data Lake
- Expertise in building event-driven scalable and resilient systems
- B2+ English level
Nice to have
- Experience in the financial services domain is a plus
- Knowledge of relational database design and data warehousing
- Understanding of Amazon Web Services
