Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

Join our remote team as a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer with experience in Microsoft Azure, DevOps, and container services. The successful candidate will have at least 3+ years of hands-on experience with provisioning, configuring, and securing Azure solutions, as well as experience in scripting, automating, and CI/CD in Azure. The role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic and technically skilled team and contribute to the design, development, and optimization of insurance services and solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Understanding vulnerability alerts provided by internal security tools and identifying specific issues in our infrastructure from those alerts
  • Preparing actionable remediation tasks and collaborating in implementing those remediations
  • Assisting with the ongoing review of our overall security posture, providing recommendations, and implementing those recommendations
  • Tracking all open security tasks and requesting exceptions 
  • Serving as the main contact between the local and global teams and the cloud infrastructure team
  • Collaborating with a dynamic and technically skilled team to design, develop, and optimize insurance services and solutions
  • Providing technical input for new feature requirements, partnering with business owners and architects
  • Ensuring continuous improvement by staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
  • Participating in code reviews, ensuring code quality and adherence to standards
Requirements
  • At least 3+ years of hands-on experience with provisioning, configuring, and securing Azure solutions
  • Strong experience in scripting/automating and CI/CD in Azure
  • Experience in deployment and functionality of container services such as Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Container Service
  • Experience with Azure Cloud technologies
  • Working experience or good understanding of Cloud Security: encryption, certificate management, network security, etc.
  • Ability to solve technical, business, and/or process-related challenges through infrastructure-as-a-service or platform-as-a-service
  • Good understanding of Operation Management Technologies such as Log Aggregation, Server Monitoring, Process Monitoring, Application Monitoring - Azure Monitor (Preferred) or Datadog
  • Ability to create well-written documentation and procedures and create dashboards and reports to provide transparency and visibility for the results of the strategic initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English, at an upper-intermediate level or higher

  • Experience with Terraform for infrastructure deployment and management
